The first image is a touched photo of a medieval guild stone I saw at Roslyn Chapel
in Scotland. I imagined the iconography to represent the three stages of Life: Birth,
Living, & Death. The following nine touched photos are from drawings where I transpose
the icons and juxtapose them differently. The last drawing is in pastel. This series
is shown in order of development and culminated in the two acrylic paintings. Only at the end of this series did I look again at the original photo ( here it is at the end) and notice the title stone, "King of Terrors".
